Prior to any workout, it is imperative that you stretch. Last week we covered lower back stretches, now we move onto stretches for you upper body. Having your hands, forearms, biceps, triceps, shoulders, and neck warmed up and ready for exercise will allow you to get the most out of your lifts and avoid injury. People who avoid stretching are often the same people who complain about being sore or injured the very next day. Do yourself a favor and just take 10 minutes to do some of these stretches to avoid pain and angst later down the road.

Here are a few upper body stretches that you can prefer both prior to and after your workout. If you have any questions or would like more examples, please ask the front desk or any of our awesome trainers for additional help!
